The major focus of these memoirs are devoted to Dr. Bohdan Hawrylyshyn’s return to his native land, wherein he discusses his experiences with late Soviet authorities, early independent Ukrainian leadership, his being advisor to three prime ministers and two presidents, and his decision to remain in Ukraine

The book describes outstanding achievements of computer science and technology pioneers at the dawn of Ukrainian computer-building industry. This was the time when rapid succession were created the very first digital universal computing and operating machines, including onboard computers for rockets,  military and trade ships; powerful specialized computer complexes for the sea hydro-acoustic systems; computers for engineering calculations; microprocessors; personal and supercomputers.

This book is an emotional story by the first astronaut of the independent Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk about his space trip  as a part of the Shuttle Columbia team in 1997.
