SYNOPSIS:  The sponsor provides support for basic studies in the field of glycoconjugates to promote world-wide progress in glycoscience.  Applicants must have a doctoral degree or its equivalent, and be a member of a scientific institution where he or she can carry out the proposed project. As much as 7,000,000 yen may be requested for one year.  Indirect costs of up to ten percent are allowed.
