The Workshop and ensuing Consultations will be conducted in Kyiv at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 10 Stritenska, room 402, 4th floor, respectively on May 20th and 21st.

With committed support from Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science, the EU-funded project “Joint Support Office for Enhancing Ukraine’s Integration into the European Research Area (JSO-ERA)”, the National Information Point for EU-Ukraine Cooperation on Science and Technology and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry shall jointly conduct a Workshop and Consultations in Kyiv respectively on May 20th and 21st.

The JSO-ERA started its activities in Ukraine end of August 2009. Its main objective is to support NIP-Ukraine’s operations and facilitate effective FP7 cooperation between Ukraine’s research communities, including SMEs involved in innovation and research, and potential ERA partners.

Hosted by EU and Ukrainian experts knowledgeable about FP7 rules, procedures and good practice in their native countries as well as internationally, this two-day event is intended for Ukrainian SMEs and their partner research organisations that are keen to participate in FP7 and glean practical recommendations to this effect.

This Workshop is seen as particularly important, since SMEs are key to any country’s economic development and prosperity. Ukraine is no exception to the rule.
